M-1 Challenge in England

Publish date: August, 9, 2008

Harvey Hadden has been chosen as the venue for the inaugural UK M-1 challenge.

Warrior Promotions are hosting the prestige international team tournament - which features the Red Devils v USA and Russian Legion v Europe - on September 27.

The event, which also includes Korea, Japan, Finland, Spain and Holland, is at the halfway stage. More countries will be added in 2009.

The bouts will be held in the M-1 ring as opposed to a cage; the show will be broadcast around the world and the top team will share a 50,000 dollar win bonus.

M-1 Global succeffully collaborates with diverse organizations aiming for the best quality global project. For instance, Japanese installment of M-1 Challenge was created thanks to ex-Pride staff while this upcoming M-1 Challenge event wouldn't be possible without tremendous amount of work made by Tony McDonagh of Cage Warriors, one of the premiere MMA-organizations of UK.

As an added bonus, Nottingham's Wayne Buck will be having a return bout with heavyweight Matteo Minonzio, who beat him on a cut at Harvey Hadden last time out.

The entire weekend will be a who’s who of International MMA movers and shakers and will feature the announcement of the first pick British Warriors Team for 2009. The event itself will be broadcast globally and in the UK on the Bravo Channel.
